If a minor is boarding a plane alone, can anybody over 18 take them to the plane, or ,must it be a parent?

I am fifteen. If I were to go from Massachusetts to California alone, would I need an adult to escort me to the plane? If so, do they need to show proof that they are my parent, or just that they are over 18?If a minor is boarding a plane alone, can anybody over 18 take them to the plane, or ,must it be a parent?
Check with your airlines but in general, many airlines allow minor to travel without any adult supervision from the age of 14 years old. If so, then you won't need parental escort to the plane, nor of anyone at the age of over 18.

If you can tell us the airline that you're planning to travel with, then we can provide a more accurate information based on the airline's policy. If a minor is boarding a plane alone, can anybody over 18 take them to the plane, or ,must it be a parent?
Things have changed so much in recent years with all the bad influences that TV and other things have caused. That maybe only an adult relative ot a trusted airline employee is the only way you could board a plane. Call the airline you plan to fly on, let your fingers do the walking.
Yes. Your parent would have to escort you to the gate and wait for the plane to get there for you. The parent has to stay until the plane takes off.

You also have to have an adult to pick you up after the flight.
There are rules set in place to prevent children from boarding planes with out parents permission. I would research this before hand.
